MUDDY FUN!

Posted April 29, 2008 8:12:54 PM

Maryville Rugby Football Club provides middle school boys and high school girl ruggers on a particularly wet day in April a step back in time to younger days when they would've been found in a muddy puddle in the yard when left unattended as toddlers.   Rugby is most fun when played on a rainy day.  If this is appealing to you contact Coach Jay Hawkins at 388-4074 or maryville@smacrugby.com.  Check out more on Maryville Rugby at www.mrfcrugby.com.

USA Under-20 WNT Announces Squad to Tour South Africa

BOULDER, Colo. -- USA Under-20 Women's National Team Head Coach Bryn Chivers announced today the squad set to tour South Africa from June 16 - June 29.

The U-20 Women are scheduled to play three games in Nelspruit, capital of the South African province of Mpumalanga. The team kicks off and concludes the tour with tests against the South Africa Under-20 Women on June 21 and 28 respectively, with a match versus the Mpumalanga Senior Women on June 25.

The U.S. team is comprised of 24 players representing 20 different high school, college and club programs across the nation. Nine of the athletes are returning veterans from the 2007 tours of England and Wales, while seven players were selected from developmental squads that played in the Under-23 National All-Star Championships and the Under-19 Invitational NASC. Eight players are new to the program and will embark on their first ever tour with the U-20 National Team in June.

"There were a lot of really good athletes at the U-20 camp this year and this has made the selection process much more difficult than in previous years," Head Coach Bryn Chivers said of his balanced squad.
